     Ireland's higher education system provides a range of options which include universities, institutes of technology as well as various other specialized colleges, which are all referred to as third level education institutions. Private schools primarily offer business and other professional programs. About nine percent of Ireland's higher education enrollment in recent years has been made up of non-Irish citizens. Many of these students choose to study in the capital of Dublin where there are numerous schools including the oldest in the country – University of Dublin, Trinity College, which was founded in 1592. Irish qualifications are recognized for excellence world-wide. Students can choose from an extensive range of courses to meet their needs in highly respected business schools, centers of scientific and technology excellence as well as renowned language, humanities and arts faculties.        International students are eligible to attend any of Ireland's higher education schools as long as they have strong enough results on either Ireland's Leaving Certification Exam or an acceptable equivalent in their home country. The highest caliber schools require that students have already completed two years of university level education elsewhere with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Tuition fees for non-EU international students are high compared with other European countries. They vary between schools but have been averaging about 10,000 to 15,000 Euros for many undergraduate programs with programs in medicine and engineering and graduate studies running somewhat higher. The academic year typically runs from September to June and is divided into either two or three semesters with holidays in December (Christmas) and April (Easter).
     

General Information

Ireland is home to internationally known rock bands and singers such as U2, The Corrs and Sinéad O'Connor.
      The climate of Ireland can be summed up as being mild, moist and changeable with abundant rainfall and a lack of temperature extremes.

Cost Of Study & Living

Ireland offers a wide range of educational programs for aspirants. They range from Undergraduate honors programs to Post graduate programs and PhD Programs. The duration of these programs varies with respect to the program and program provider. In general they can range from 1 to 3 years. The tuition fees for these programs vary from 10000€ to 13000€ or Rs.700000 or Rs.910000 per year. On an average the cost of study will be (approx).

For a I year program - Tuition Fee will be 10000€ to 13000€ or Rs.700000 or Rs.910000
For a II year program - Tuition Fee will be 20000€ to 26000€ or Rs.1400000 to Rs.1820000
For a III year program - Tuition Fee will be 30000€ to 39000€ or Rs.2100000 to Rs.2730000

Total Living Expense: 
The total living expense for an International student in Ireland will be approximately around 11000€ to 15000€ per year which includes rent, food, transportation, personal expenses and other miscellaneous expenses. This figure is subject to change depending upon the lifestyle of the student, location and the type of accommodation He / She chooses which may vary from the College or University accommodation to renting a flat on one's own.
